# Privacy Policy for Suno Codex Companion

Last updated: **September 3, 2026** · Applies to version **2.0.3**

Suno Codex Companion is an independent extension that helps you listen to Suno comparisons and submit the preference you choose. It is not an official Suno or OpenAI product and is not affiliated with either company.

This policy describes the extension package. A website that distributes the package may have separate hosting, access-log, or privacy practices; those practices are not covered by this policy.

## Information the extension handles

The extension reads and temporarily uses information necessary for its listening workflow:

- The connected Suno tab's identifier and URL, to route controls to the intended Listen & Rank page.
- Visible comparison questions, lyrics or other task paragraphs, displayed image/source references, button labels, and selected-choice states, to recognize the current comparison and detect when it changes.
- The page's listening countdowns, completion indicators, and audio playback properties such as current position, paused state, loading state, and errors.
- Suno's displayed completed-task, pending-credit, and processed-credit counters.
- The A, B, or Neither choice you explicitly make, your Start/Stop or playback commands, and your use of Suno's Submit button during an active session.
- Temporary status/error messages, their timestamps, and the timestamp of the last shortcut command, to show feedback and suppress rapid duplicate commands.

Task text may contain information supplied by Suno or its users. The extension treats it as temporary comparison content; it does not create a publisher database of that content.

## Where information is kept

The extension keeps the connected tab identifier, last command timestamp, and latest status/error message in Chrome's temporary extension session storage. Current comparison details, playback state, answer selection, and submission guards are also held in memory in the page helper or side panel.

The extension does not use persistent local extension storage, Chrome Sync storage, a publisher server, or a remote database. Chrome's session storage remains available if its extension worker restarts but is cleared when the extension is disabled, reloaded, or updated, or when the browser restarts. See [Chrome's session-storage documentation](https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/api/storage#session).

In-memory page and panel state lasts only for the relevant page/panel context. Reloading or closing that context clears its state. The extension does not maintain a permanent rating history.

## What leaves your device

When you deliberately choose an answer and submit it, or press an answer shortcut, the extension selects and activates Suno's own page controls. Suno's website then processes the preference and associated normal website activity under Suno's own practices.

When you use Suno's own Submit button during a session, the extension observes that action to continue with the next comparison. It does not generate a second choice or submission. Waiting for the next pair and reading Suno's counters happen locally and do not verify whether Suno accepted an answer or awarded credits.

The extension makes no direct analytics, advertising, telemetry, or publisher-server requests. It does not upload comparison text, credentials, or audio to its publisher, OpenAI, or another AI service. It does not contain an OpenAI or Suno API integration and does not ask for API keys.

Suno supplies and plays the audio through its website. The extension reads playback state and operates the visible player controls; it does not capture, record, download, transcribe, or analyze the audio. It does not request microphone or tab-capture permissions.

## Credentials and browsing information

You sign in directly on Suno. The extension does not read or store your password, authentication cookies, payment-card details, or API keys. It has access permission for `https://suno.com/*` and restricts its supported workflow to the Listen & Rank page. It does not request browser-history access or collect a general browsing history.

## Notifications

The extension may show a Chrome notification or toolbar badge when playback changes, a pair is ready for your answer, a command finishes, or an error occurs. Notification content consists of the extension's workflow/status messages. Your browser and operating system control how notifications are displayed and retained.

## Use, sharing, and sale

Information handled by the extension is used only to provide its described listening and user-directed rating features. The extension does not sell user data, use it for advertising or profiling, or use it for creditworthiness or lending decisions. It does not send a copy of your activity to the extension's publisher.

The extension's handling of data is limited to its disclosed purpose, including the user-directed transfer of your chosen preference through Suno. Suno's independent processing of its website activity is subject to its own [privacy policy](https://suno.com/privacy).

## Your controls

- Stop the session with its switch or Start/Stop shortcut. This prevents subsequent automatic playback/navigation, but does not withdraw an answer already sent.
- Close or reload the Suno tab to end that page helper's in-memory session.
- Disable, reload, update, or remove the extension, or restart Chrome, to clear its temporary extension session storage.
- Manage extension permissions and notifications in Chrome. Removing the extension stops its future activity.

Deleting local extension state does not delete information already submitted to Suno. Any request about Suno-held data must be directed to Suno.

## Changes and contact

This document describes version 2.0.3. This update adds no permissions, persistent storage, or external data transfer. A future release that changes data handling should include a revised, dated policy.

**Public publisher/privacy contact: pending.** A monitored contact address has not been supplied for this release. Until one is designated, contact the distributor from whom you received the package. A verified publisher contact must be added, and the public policy URL checked, before Chrome Web Store submission.
